Two Hearts Community

In 1982, Bro. Julio T. Borro, Head Servant and Founder of the Two Hearts Community, heard a spiritual voice, that of the Virgin Mary. It was a message to start the mission—to defend the faith—especially Jesus and Mary.

Later, in 1986, the evangelization started with the use of the Images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary (Two Hearts Images) in various houses and offices in Metro Manila. In 1990, Bro. Julio Borro and a guitarist brought the Two Hearts Images to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Mandaluyong City, where Bro. Romy I. Plocios met and encountered the Lord, and Mama Mary touched and called him to join the mission.

In 1991, the Two Hearts Images of Jesus and Mary were brought to the Village of Karangalan, Cainta, Rizal. The enthronement happened for the first time at their residence with a group of seven members. Upon the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they prayed the Holy Rosary followed by the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Thereafter, they sang praise and worship songs and proclaimed the Gospel. It was followed by reflections and sharing of the Word of God. A healing service was also conducted, with thanksgiving songs and supplications lifted up by the prayer leader, as well as the singing of the Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary, and Glory Be. Everybody was touched and full of joy that they committed and desired themselves to promote the devotion of the “Alliance of the Two Hearts.”

Bro. Romy I. Plocios was then appointed as Coordinator and became Head Servant after the death of Bro. Julio Borro in 2006.

The Two Hearts Community (Alliance of the Hearts of Jesus & Mary Communities Int’l. Foundation, Inc.) is under the spiritual direction of Fr. Gerry Evarola, Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Parish and Spiritual Director of the Diocese of Antipolo Charismatic Renewal Movement. It holds its prayer meetings in the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel Community in Cainta, Rizal as well as in the Immaculate Conception Parish Community in Pasig City. It also has a house-to-house evangelization program.
